A 220mm gyuto in beautiful damascus steel made by @salemstraub. The steel is 3v/15n20 heat treated to 63hrc, the handle is African Blackwood with a brass bolster. It’s been awhile since I have worked with Damascus steel, let me know if you like seeing damascus in my work or if I should stick with mono steel.

The final result of my first frame handle. This is a method of handle construction often used by @halexorn on his chefs knives and I have been interested to try it. For me I liked the idea of a hidden tang that looked more like my full tang knives without the very square transition from handle to blade of more normal hidden tangs. I found it pretty time consuming but I think that’s true of doing most things for the first time, with repeated attempts I am sure it would get simpler. (Spoken for)
